Cheesy Grits & Salmon

Hungry, y’all? Shanise Rhiney brings the South to Brooklyn with this twist on classic down-home fish and grits.

Grits:

1 cup old fashioned grits
4 cups water
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
salt & pepper to taste

Salmon:

2 medium-sized salmon filets or steaks
1 lemon
2 tbs. butter
1 tbs. olive oil
1/2 tsp. seasoned salt
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1 yellow onion, sliced
3 cloves garlic, chopped
3 chopped scallions (for garnish)
