Brown Stew Fish

Jamaican-born Belinda Becker gets in touch with her West Indian roots with this easy, tasty recipe for brown stew fish. 

6 fillets mild white fish (such as cod)
2 cups all-purpose flour
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 yellow onions, diced
3 large carrots, sliced into 1/2-inch rounds
1/2 pound green beans, cut into thirds
2 scallions, chopped
2 tomatoes, diced
4 medium potatoes, skinned and cut into 1/8-inch pieces
3 tablespoons black soy sauce
1 quart seafood stock
1 lemon, halved
salt, seasoned salt and pepper to taste
